Almost one in three people in the world did not have access to adequate food last year. A worldwide pandemic, broken supply chains, conflict and climate change worsened what was already a severe food shortage. It’s often children who suffer the most. On this episode, you’ll hear about a remarkable partnership that is helping Indigenous families grow their own food. Food Forests are a unique way communities help themselves, as we’ll hear when we visit Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation. Then we’ll check in with Glenn Checkley, the Director of Indigenous Partnerships and Programs for Canadian Feed The Children, about similar programs in Canada and other parts of the world.
