Michael Carrick Has Some BIG Decisions to Make at Manchester United...

Manchester United have some enormous decisions to make as attention turns towards Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, following another frustrating Premier League weekend.

After United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, Michael Carrick finds himself facing some familiar questions about his team selection, tactical approach and whether he's getting the best out of the players available to him.

In this video, I'm reviewing the weekend's Premier League action, what the results mean for Manchester United's ambitions and the changes Carrick must consider before facing Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

One of the biggest talking points remains United's midfield. Carlos Baleba brings a completely different physical profile to the team, but how should Carrick utilise him alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes? And are United sacrificing too much balance by trying to accommodate certain players?

There are important decisions further forward too. Matheus Cunha needs to be playing in positions where he can make the greatest impact, while Amad's return provides another opportunity to improve United's creativity, width and attacking combinations.

With Matthijs de Ligt available to strengthen the defence and increasing competition for places across the squad, Carrick has some difficult decisions to make regarding his strongest starting XI.

We'll also be looking at the wider Premier League weekend, the performances of United's rivals and what the latest results tell us about the race for European qualification.

Atletico Madrid will present a very different challenge. Diego Simeone's side are notoriously difficult to break down, physically competitive and capable of punishing teams that lack discipline or tactical organisation.

Carrick cannot afford to keep making the same mistakes.

But could this European fixture provide the perfect opportunity to make some brave decisions and finally establish Manchester United's best team?
