概要
We asked someone at The Board Walks: "What does self-love mean to you?"
His answer? Volunteering. Helping others. Doing for everyone but himself.
And it hit us. most people think self-love is selfish. Or they think it's bubble baths and face masks.
But what it actually is? Boundaries. Self-love is making rest a priority. It's turning off work mode at a certain time. It's saying no to things that drain you, even if it disappoints people you care about. It's alone time to recharge so you can actually show up for the world.
We live in a culture that glorifies breaking your back to create a table for others to eat off of. But here's the truth: you can't give from an empty cup. And when people serve others while avoiding themselves, they're often running from something, their own dreams, their potential, the uncomfortable work of sitting with themselves.
In this episode, we break down what self-love actually looks like in practice. We talk about the relaxation crisis, why discipline is self-love, how to send your body gratitude, the importance of pausing between tasks, and why being in your head all day is destroying your nervous system.
