“What if?” can make us rehearse tomorrow’s problems before tomorrow ever arrives.
When Moses worries that no one will believe him, God provides miraculous signs. Yet Pharaoh, Israel, and even Moses demonstrate that seeing a sign does not necessarily produce lasting trust.
In this message from Exodus 3–7, we consider what it means to trust God when he has promised the destination but has not revealed everything the journey will hold. God does not always promise predictability or comfort, but he promises his presence and faithfulness.
A sign may confirm God’s word, but it cannot transform an unwilling heart. Ultimately, our faith rests not in what God might show us next, but in what he has already shown us through the cross and resurrection of Jesus.
