Somewhere, right now, there is a gift buried in a field. Episode Four of the Heaven’s Economy Blueprint™ Podcast opens with the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 and finds something deeper than a lesson about productivity: what you believe about God determines what you do with what He gave you.

IN THIS EPISODE

Why the story opens with hands being filled, before anyone has earned anything. The amounts that differ- five, two, and one- each according to ability, and the comparison the master never makes. The identical well done spoken over different totals, because faithfulness responds to the portion actually entrusted. And the third servant’s confession, where the whole episode turns: I knew you were hard. So I was afraid. So I hid. Belief, then fear, then burial. The way we dress fear in the vocabulary of faithfulness, calling it caution, prudence, and timing. And the question the parable leaves behind: what does the way I handle my entrustment reveal about what I believe about God?

PRACTICE

Ten minutes, once this week. First, make the inventory: write down what is actually in your hands right now. Skills, people who trust you, resources, the idea that will not leave you alone. Then find the buried one, the entry you are protecting instead of using, and ask what one faithful movement with it would look like this week. God isn’t asking you to produce the whole harvest. He is asking for the next faithful movement.
