How does your handling of money today impact your spiritual freedom tomorrow? In week three of What God Says About Your Money, Pastor JT addresses three of the most practical financial topics we face: debt, saving, and investing.

While culture encourages us to borrow without limit and hoard without purpose, Scripture invites us into a radical shift: God wants you to have a forever focus with your finances. When we align our daily habits with eternity, our money ceases to be a trap and becomes a tool for the Kingdom.

• Debt Makes You a Slave to Tomorrow: As Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The borrower is slave to the lender." Debt steals your future flexibility and forces you to finance yesterday's desires with tomorrow's income. Cultivating contentment (1 Timothy 6:6–8) and seeking God's Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33–34) breaks the cycle of impulse spending.

• Save for Tomorrow so You Can Focus on Forever: Wisdom saves; foolishness consumes everything it gets (Proverbs 21:20). Following the example of the ant in Proverbs 6, saving is a God-honoring way to prepare for seasonal shifts. However, James 5 warns against hoarding—saving should serve a godly purpose, not store up selfish security.

• Align with the Heart of Christ and Invest in Forever: Jesus reminded us in Matthew 6:19–21 that earthly treasures fade, rust, and rot. True investing means pouring our resources into people, ministry, and eternal Kingdom returns—because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Pastor JT challenged us to examine our financial motives with three direct questions this week:

1. Do you need to repent of being a slave to debt? What practical steps can you take today to regain your freedom?

2. Are you saving for a purpose, or are you hoarding wealth because money has taken the place of trust in your heart?

3. Are your investments aligned with God’s heart? How much of your financial portfolio reflects a focus on eternity?
