Pornography is not merely a men's problem. Crystal Renaud Day joins Peter Demos to explain why women may turn to pornography and why shame keeps so many from seeking help.
Crystal is the founder and executive director of SheRecovery, a virtual recovery community for women facing pornography and other unwanted sexual behaviors. She identifies five categories that may influence the struggle: emotional, relational, identity, trauma and spiritual factors.
Peter and Crystal discuss early exposure, sexual desire, loneliness, social media, sexting and pornography's effect on relationships. They also examine why behavioral commands alone are inadequate and how churches can combine biblical conviction with compassionate, practical support.
