  • Love One Another: God's Love Living Through Us (Walter Albritton)
    2026/02/07

Join us for this week's devotional as we reflect on 1 John 4:7-12 and the powerful reminder that love comes from God. In this passage, the Apostle John calls us to love one another — not because it's simply a good idea, but because love is the very nature of God. Through the gift of His Son, God showed us what true love looks like, and as we share that love with others, His presence is made real in our lives.

Whether you're having a wonderful day or walking through a difficult season, this message is a gentle reminder that you are deeply loved — and that love is meant to be shared.

  • Jesus Helps Us to Hear (Matt Albritton)
    2026/02/03

Jesus Helps Us to Hear | Mark 7:31-37

In this powerful message, we explore the story of Jesus healing a deaf and mute man – and what it means for us to be truly open to God's voice today. Jesus' command "Ephphatha" (Be opened) speaks not just to physical ears, but to our spiritual condition.

    KEY POINTS:

    - Jesus cares about our dignity – He took the man aside privately

    - Physical touch demonstrates compassion and strengthens faith

    - Jesus' sigh reveals God's heart for our suffering

    - We can bring others to Jesus through prayer, scripture, testimony, kindness, and invitation

    - God does all things well – what He begins, He finishes

    - Jesus says to us today: "Be opened" to His voice, His will, and His work

    SCRIPTURE: Mark 7:31-37

The first voice this man ever heard was the voice of Jesus. The first words he likely spoke to his friends? "Thank you for bringing me to Jesus."

Are you walking closely with God? Are you listening to His still, small voice? Are you talking with Him in prayer? Jesus says to you this morning: Be opened.

  • "Be Opened" — Jesus Heals the Deaf Man (Walter Albritton)
    2026/01/31

In this devotional, we reflect on the beautiful story of Jesus healing a deaf man with a speech impediment in the region of the Decapolis. When Jesus looked up to heaven, sighed deeply, and spoke the Aramaic word "Ephphatha" — "Be opened" — He did more than restore physical hearing. He demonstrated His power to open what is closed, to restore what is broken, and to give voice to those who have been silenced.

What areas of your life need to hear Jesus say "Be opened" today? Perhaps it's ears that have grown deaf to God's voice amid life's noise, or a tongue that struggles to speak words of faith and praise. Jesus meets us in our brokenness, touches us personally, and speaks words of healing over our lives.

May this passage remind us that the same Jesus who opened deaf ears and loosened tied tongues is still at work today, opening our hearts to receive His grace and freeing us to proclaim His goodness.

    Scripture: Mark 7:31-37
