But the characters are uncompelling and don't believe in anything, the story is grounded in racism and sexism, and Timothy Zahn is no Steven Erikson.

Reading an actual novel was truly a balm after the absolute slog that was the Ewoks, but, well, unfortunately it's racist and the character writing is mostly flat. Sweet release has come for us. Season One is over, and we're done with the Ewoks era of Star Wars – or at least, we will be after this episode. Hosts Nerdley and Fungo discuss the Ewoks Comics, including the three short stories published in the UK exclusive Ewoks Annual. Well, technically. The low point is a retelling of A New Hope starring the droids that completely sidesteps the obvious premise of Artoo and Threepio Are Dead to instead feature moles.
