Episode 319, Boots to Beaches, is all about giving back, creating meaningful experiences, and helping veterans make memories that last a lifetime. Kevin Lombardo joins us to talk about his 501(c)(3), an organization dedicated to providing veterans with mostly cost-free travel experiences and restorative vacations. Through opportunities such as Honor Flights and other veteran-focused trips, the organization works to give veterans the chance to get away, experience something special, and enjoy the benefits of travel without the financial burden. The need is growing, with 126 applications currently in the queue. Each application goes through a verification process before being presented to the board for approval and determining what assistance can be provided. Kevin is also working toward giving away a family travel package in September and is actively looking for additional sponsors and donors to make these opportunities possible. The message is simple: volunteer, reach out, get involved, and donate. Every bit of support can help create an experience that a veteran and their family will never forget. This episode also features the music of Jenn Ford, who is entering a new and exciting chapter of her life. Living a healthier new life has brought new inspiration and creativity to her music, with more new music expected in the very near future.
