If comfort, success, or financial security quietly becomes our ultimate goal, we can start treating Jesus as the means to getting the life we want. And when that life doesn’t happen, resentment takes root.

But when pleasing Jesus becomes our highest aim, bitterness begins to lose its grip.

We can lay down our plans, give generously, and serve when nobody notices. We can walk through suffering with sorrow and still find joy in the Lord. That doesn’t mean exhaustion disappears or grief signals a lack of faith.

It means we have somewhere to bring our weary hearts—and a purpose that hard circumstances cannot take away.

Mama, your day can fall apart and still be a day of faithful obedience. You can enjoy the Lord with your children right in the middle of the unfinished work. Above our schedules. Above our ambitions. Above the way we thought motherhood would look.

Our daily goal: please Jesus.
