  • Ep 57 Are We Too Self Aware Now?!
    2026/03/27

Welcome to Episode 57 of We've Got This...Maybe! The Podcast!

In this episode we’re asking a big question… are we too self-aware now? It feels like everything we do has a reason. Every reaction, every habit, every feeling...we analyse it, label it, and try to understand where it’s come from. But at what point does self-awareness turn into overthinking?

We talk about how much things have changed over the past 20–30 years, from how we understand ourselves to how quickly we look for explanations, labels, and diagnoses. Are we becoming more emotionally intelligent… or are we overcomplicating things that used to just be what they were?

We explore the pressure to question everything- our behaviours, our past, our parenting, our relationships and whether constantly digging deeper is actually helping us, or just making life feel heavier.

It’s a thoughtful, curious and honest conversation with a mix of serious reflection and light-hearted moments, as we try to work out whether self-awareness is a strength… or if sometimes, it’s just not that deep.

  • Ep 56 Blue Ticks, Group Chats & Reply Anxiety… Why Is Messaging So Intense?
    2026/03/20

Welcome back to the 56th episode of We've Got This...Maybe! The podcast!

In this episode we’re diving into the chaos of modern messaging etiquette and asking why something so simple feels so complicated now.

From WhatsApp group chats and blue ticks to the unspoken pressure to reply instantly, we talk about how messaging has completely changed the way we communicate. Why does reading a message suddenly come with expectations?

We also take it back to the pre-WhatsApp days from group emails and sending the same message to multiple people, to the effort it took just to make plans. Somehow it all felt simpler… or did it?

This is a funny, nostalgic and very relatable conversation about how we message, the little habits we all have (but don’t admit), and the ways we try to avoid being “called out” for reading something and not replying.

Whether you’re someone who replies instantly, leaves people on read, or mutes every group chat going, this one will feel very familiar.

  • Ep 55 Why Does Every Plan Involve A Drink?! Rethinking Drink Culture
    2026/03/13

Welcome to Episode 55 of We've Got This...Maybe! The Podcast!

In this episode we’re talking about drink culture and asking why alcohol seems to sit at the centre of so many social plans.

Why is it that as soon as the sun comes out, the default suggestion is a drink in a pub garden? When did catching up with friends, celebrating good news, or even just passing time start to revolve around alcohol?

We reflect on our own experiences growing up around drinking, the pressure we sometimes felt to join in, and the subtle ways people can feel pushed to drink even when they don’t want to. From youthful nights out to adult social habits, we explore how alcohol has shaped so much of our social lives.

We also talk about how attitudes toward drinking are starting to shift. With more people opening up about their relationship with alcohol — including influencers speaking honestly about their own struggles — it feels like society might be beginning to rethink its relationship with drinking.

It’s a thoughtful, sometimes serious, but often humorous conversation about social pressure, changing habits, and what role alcohol really plays in our lives today.
