The introduction of Anna Maria Marconi, who shakes up the Superior Spider-Man story and even brings early conversations about super genius schools vs. underfunded public schools back into the fray. We get into Peter in a robot body, the startling lack of the Spider-Women, Miles finally getting into the action but still being underused, and more!

We talk about how this show handles darker and realistic subject matter, why these Avengers land with a thud, and… why aren’t Miles and Kamala hanging out?!

We’re finally digging into 2017’s adaptation of The Superior Spider-Man as Otto Octavius gets used to his new superpowered body, unmasks himself to learn the identity of his nemesis Spider-Man, and reckons with the reality that Peter Parker’s memories, experiences, and emotions are now his as well. Also, prepare for a hefty tangent discussing how various versions of Otto Octavius smell! It’s important!
