    2025/09/18

This second episode features New York based multidisciplinary artist and musician Katy Pinke.

Pinke writes introspective songs—cerebral, unsparing, and texturally rich. Her 2024 debut album (produced by Phil Weinrobe – Big Thief, Hand Habits) was described by PopMatters as “dreamlike but rooted in authentic, basic principles of songwriting and performance.” Katy’s latest record Strange Behavior has drawn comparisons to Aldous Harding, Julia Holter, and Suzanne Vega. Live, she’s shared the stage with Laura Veirs, Delicate Steve, Jolie Holland, Kyp Malone (of TV On the Radio), Diane Cluck, Jesse Harris, and many others. Katy often incorporates visual art and puppetry into her performances, creating immersive and multi-sensory sets that whisper to the subconscious.

Her bandmate and co-producer Nico Osborne is a New York based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter under the project Nicomo. He is a collaborator with several other projects including Jackie West, Oropendola, Devon Church, and Thanya Iyer.
