Hosted by husband and wife, Allen and Donna Stare. Allen started in radio at age 15 in 1980. When he walked into his first radio station, all he knew about radio came from watching the first two seasons of "WKRP in Cincinnati."     Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Be careful...you might not be ready for Hamilton Camp!! We're headed to Del's Stereo for "Hold Up". Herb sold a remote down at Del's Stereo and Sound. Johnny gets roped into doing talent for the gig (on a Saturday!). Del is such a ball of nervous energy he's just short of exploding. When a gunman walks in on the remote things get really weird. When he wants on the air, you know you could only be watching an episode of WKRP!! Remember the old tuner you had that could double as a boat anchor?? Del probably sold it to you! We've got a Union Broadcast Engineer with a 'tude, an out of work deejay with a gun AND we're going to find out just what the heck a "Wingy Menone" is!! We might even do a little target practice on some speakers. The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, and don't miss it!!

    OH YEAH!! After the ep, we'll be doing some shout outs to friends and listeners. You can completely skip it if you want...you won't miss any episode goodies...but, then again, you never know. We might be talking about you!!

For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog" episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. Any new rock-n-roll station is only as good as the concerts it can land. WKRP has lucked into hosting one of the first concerts in the states from hot new band "Scum of the Earth." Turns out Art's old buddy Stevie Peevy reps Scum in Cincinnati. We determine the origins of the term "Scum of the Earth". We discover a whole new genre of music where the band physically attacks the audience and, HOLY KRP!! WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH MICHAEL DES BARRES WHO APPEARS IN THE EPISODE!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, and don't miss it!!

    Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another session of the "WKRP-Cast." We're breaking down a new episode!! This week, it's "Les on a Ledge". After a misunderstanding at "the Stadium" Les is barred from post-game locker-room interviews. A player believes Les is homosexual. The news is so distressing it pushes Les onto the ledge of the Flimm building...or, at least SOME building (the Flimm building doesn't have ledges...but we can't let something like that get in the way of a good script!) Of course there's going to be a "Herb Tarlek Fashion Alert". We meet America's first prime-time pothead (hint: you already know him). We have unidentified firemen, Shakespearean monologues and a fall from either the ninth or fourteenth floor of the Flimm building. This one is truly crazy, fellow babies!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains and tell the Doctor where it hurts!!
