  • E'Stefano DiSanto on Vegas, The Fourmers, and Loving People

These days he tours the Myrtle Beach area with a five-person murder mystery show that plays HOAs, country clubs, restaurants, and lodges, with his wife Margaret running live sound and sound effects from the back of the room.In this episode:The difference between a live band and a backing track, and why Anthony noticed it immediatelyRecording in one room the way The Beatles and 1960s Nashville sessions did itHow the murder mystery show came together, and the 400 uncles who became the GodfatherWhy 85 to 90 percent of the show is ad libbedMargaret's sound cues, from the Twilight Zone to a car bombTranslating a Brooklyn joke for a South Carolina audienceWhat "how you doing" actually means in New YorkTwo natives in a room of 150 people, and both of them work for AnthonyMusic & Memories plays at the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre in North Myrtle Beach.Tickets: https://grltnmb.com/go/bcaCWdwR/Box office: (843) 663-3600701 Main St, North Myrtle Beach, SCSubscribe for more conversations from the WGRLT Studio with the performers who come through the theatre.
