 Welcome to Voices of Virtue, where the pursuit of the Good Life intertwines with the world of literature! In this engaging series, our seniors have delved into the profound insights of Dr. Karen Swallow Prior's enlightening book, On Reading Well: Finding the Good Life through Great Books. Each episode serves as a spirited debate as our students ardently champion their chosen virtues from the book, passionately contending which are most crucial in the quest for eudaimonia, or the Good Life. From diligence to humility, prudence to temperance, these dedicated scholars dissect the philosophical underpinnings of Prior's insights, weaving together literary analysis and ethical reflection. Join us as we navigate the nuanced connections between virtue and the pursuit of a meaningful and fulfilling life. Engage with our students' compelling arguments and discover the profound impact literature can have on shaping our understanding of virtue and the path to the Good Life. CVCS is a college preparatory, private Christian school in San Juan Capistrano, California serving over 700 students from junior kindergarten through grade 12, including approximately 30 international students from around the world.
