Your brand is building trust or burning it. Most don’t know which.

Emily Binder defined voice marketing as a discipline before most brands knew they needed it. She distills 15+ years of experience — from leading acquisition for the Nasdaq-listed pioneer of VoIP to building the premier voice AI platform for financial services — into strategies that make brands impossible to ignore. She consults for technology companies, ETF issuers, and firms of every scale, guiding over $170 billion in AUM. She started this show because the advice she gives behind closed doors deserves a wider audience.

Episodes average 10 minutes. She tells you what she sees and what to do about it. Why your brand is sending a message you didn’t intend. What it costs to underinvest in marketing. How to price what you’re worth. What it means to build a human presence when AI is producing everyone else’s content.

Contrarian but practical. No sponsors. No guests pitching themselves. Just the unfiltered version.

For founders and executives in tech and wealth management who’ve outgrown surface-level marketing advice — and want to think about brand as a moat, not a mood board.

Your phone is a broadcast studio and you don't need a traditional podcast to build a brand. • Taste is the Moat: What AI Can't Replace in Marketing
    2026/04/25
This article went viral in group chats and on X in Q1-26: the "2028 Global Intelligence Crisis" from Citrini Research. It's a thought experiment — not a prediction — written as a fictional macro memo from June 2028 imagining how an AI-driven economic spiral unfolds. I read it at 10pm and couldn't stop. It gave me a lot to think about regarding brand, marketing, and where human value actually lives in this new landscape. In this episode I break down the scenario — white-collar displacement, consumer AI agents dismantling brand loyalty, DoorDash going out of business because a machine finds a cheaper option — and then I explain why I think the thing it gets most right has nothing to do with economics. It's about taste.POV is the moat. Taste is the moat. AI is an LLM — it's math, it's predictive, it is not intelligent — and the people who will continue to be valuable are the ones who can look at an output and say: that doesn't land, that's not funny, that word doesn't belong in a premium brand's copy. That discernment is developed over years. It is not promptable.I also talk about what it means for younger people who may never get the junior roles that build that taste in the first place — and why that matters more than most people realize.Links mentioned:Citrini Research: 2028 Global Intelligence CrisisWork with me:Marketing Surgery (1:1 strategy): emilybinder.com/callPodcast Surgery Workshop: emilybinder.com/podsurgerySpeaking: emilybinder.com/speakingMy gear & software (promo links):Record guests and create clips on Riverside: emilybinder.com/riversideRecord solo and edit like a Word Doc with AI on Descript: emilybinder.com/descriptMy mic gear: Amazon listVideo podcast gear - Amazon listMy Amazon Storefront: amazon.com/shop/emilybinderHire me:Marketing Surgery: emilybinder.com/callPodcast Surgery Workshop: emilybinder.com/podsurgerySpeaking: emilybinder.com/speakingBring me into your next Zoom, 15min: thinkersone.com/emilybinderConnect:This podcast | My website | Beetle Moment Marketing | LinkedIn | X | Instagram | TikTok | YouTube | Email updates Hosted on Acast.
