Bowloflentis - The first movies that come to mind are The Raid: Redemption and Dredd, which are both just about the protagonist making their way through a level to fight the boss at the end.

deandelossantos1645 - After watching "Project Hail Mary," I couldn't help but be reminded of "Friend-slop" games. While reading the book, I felt like I was being given unskippable tutorial pop-ups every time they'd flashback. The first game I played after the movie was "Heavenly Bodies" which I'd argue is like reinstalling Deus Ex after someone mentions it.
