Viktor Krauss has spent a lifetime making music at the highest level and as we quickly discovered, he also has a serious passion of pedals and gear.

In this episode of CWG, Viktor joins Deb, Julie and Andy Most for a conversation about his journey as a bass player, tone, pedals, songwriting, the gear he loves and can't live without, and the creative choices that have shaped his unmistakable sound.

Viktor is an acclaimed bassist, composer and producer whose remarkable career includes a longtime musical partnership with Lyle Lovett, as well as performances and collaborations with Robert Plant, Bill Frisell, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin and so many more. Least we forget to mention the collaborations with his incredible sister Alison Krauss!

But this isn't just a career retrospective. We get into the fun stuff too! How Viktor thinks about sound, the gear that inspires him, how he approaches composing and he shares with us his rather impressive collection of pedals. We also got him to play some music live in the studio and it was amazing! He then blew our mind with his Synch Sequencing expertise! IYKYK

It's a relaxed, funny and fascinating conversation with an amazing talented musician as well as an awesome human with lots of charm on top of it!

If you are a musician, pedal and gear addict or simply someone who loves hearing great musicians talk about how they create their sound, you're going to love this one.
