  • October 4, 2026 - More Welcome: A Table That Keeps Widening
    2026/10/06

On World Communion Sunday, we remember the story of Peter and Cornelius in Acts 10, when God’s Spirit pushed Peter across a cultural boundary he never expected to cross.

In Cornelius’ home, Peter discovered that God’s grace was already at work beyond the boundaries he had imagined. God’s “more” is a table that keeps widening — a diverse body made of many different people and parts, all gathered together in Christ.

This World Communion Sunday, we celebrate the welcome of God’s ever-expanding table.

  • September 27, 2026 - More Presence: Finding Our Refuge and Home Along the Way of Life’s Journey
    2026/09/28

What does it mean to cultivate presence in our lives and relationships?

In a world where fear and anxiety can shape our decisions and our time and attention feel increasingly precious, the spiritual practices of presence, silence, stillness, and attunement invite us to slow down and notice God’s presence with us.

Through Scripture and the journey of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we’ll explore how God meets us along life’s journey — offering refuge, healing, and the profound gift of being fully known and deeply loved.

  • September 20, 2026 - More Mercy
    2026/09/22

What a fun Basecamp Sunday! It was wonderful to celebrate all that our church community is doing and to be together.

Our theme this season is “More than we can ask or imagine,” inspired by Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14–21. Each week, we’ll explore the ways God is at work within us, beginning this Sunday with “More Mercy.”

We’ll revisit the beloved story of the Prodigal Son and consider how God’s mercy, like a father’s open arms, welcomes us home. In a world of grievances and grudges, God’s mercy invites us into a deeper love and faithfulness.

  • September 6, 2026 - Worship @ VPC - No Condemnation
    2026/09/08

Join us for this special outdoor gathering, the Second Sunday in the Grove, as we worship together in the beauty of the Redwood Grove. This intergenerational service invites us to engage our whole selves—body, mind, and spirit—as we continue exploring what it means to live and worship as a community of faith.

This week’s message, “No Condemnation,” is drawn from Romans 8:1–11. Pastor Jenny leads us into this powerful passage, reflecting on the freedom we have through the Spirit—freedom from the law of sin and death, and a renewed identity rooted in being “in Christ.” Building on the contemplative and embodied spirit of last week’s service, we gather again in a space that encourages connection, reflection, and shared worship across all ages.

We are grateful to be together in this sacred outdoor setting and hope this service offers you a sense of peace, renewal, and hope. You are always welcome here.

    Love Is All It Costs

“Let love be genuine.” — Romans 12:9

Love is simple—and hard—all at once. This Sunday, we’ll explore Romans 12 and its invitation to make genuine love the center of how we live and relate to one another.

How are we moving toward love? And where might we be moving away from it?

After a wonderful week away, Chris and I are so glad to be back with you. We look forward to worshiping together!

Open My Eyes Learning to See the Unseen Presence of God

What if faith is not only about what we believe, but also about what we are able to see?

In this message, Naomi Kinsman explores how fear shapes our stories and how God invites us to see beyond fear into a larger reality. Through Romans 12:1–2 and Exodus 1:8–2:10, we’ll discover how God renews our minds, opens our eyes, and reminds us that we are held by a love from which nothing can separate us.

    2026/08/17

Join us as guest preacher Nate Millheim explores the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1–7. In this message, we are reminded that there is nothing we can do to make God stop wanting us—and nothing that can keep God from pursuing us with love. Together, we’ll consider what it means to turn back to our Good Shepherd and let him carry us home.
