This week on Unwise Girls, we have to reckon with what might be the fundamental question of this whole book: what balance can the authors find between the typical fantasy road trip of a Riordanverse novel and the YA supernatural romance that lies at the heart of the story? It's something we'll have to contend with alongside superhero moments, lack of consequence, rivers that suck, and many other important topics of that sort of nature.
