概要

What’s beyond the veil? The nature of this world we live in is unrefined. Yes, we live in this multifaceted world of the SEEN and the UNSEEN. In each episode we go beyond the veil in our own personal unrefined way. Our podcast recipe includes: the supernatural, the strange and unexplained from a biblical perspective, PLUS deep dives into the Word AND a wee bit of the conspiratorial for good measure.Unrefined LLC キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 社会科学 聖職・福音主義

  • E204 [Rewind] What Do You Do With a Bible That Refuses to Stay Ordinary?

What do you do with a Bible that refuses to stay ordinary?

In this episode, Brandon and Lindsy sit down with returning guest Ryan Anderson to explore one of the wildest questions they’ve tackled yet: does the Bible actually present a case for time travel? What starts as a conversation about God creating time quickly opens into a sweeping discussion about Moses, Elijah, the Mount of Transfiguration, prophetic timing, and whether certain passages make more sense when read through a deeper biblical lens.

Ryan lays out his case that time is part of creation itself, meaning the God who made it is not bound by it. From Hezekiah’s sundial to Joshua’s long day to Moses asking to see God’s glory, the conversation traces moments in Scripture that seem to suggest time is more flexible than most believers assume. Then things really get interesting as Ryan connects Moses and Elijah’s encounters on the mountain with Jesus’ transfiguration, proposing that what happened there may have been more than a vision. It may have been a convergence across ages.

Along the way, the conversation touches the gap theory, Lucifer traditions, Hebrew word studies, old earth questions, typology, the law and the prophets, and why the Bible may be far stranger and more supernatural than most modern readers were taught to expect.

This one is not about chasing novelty. It is about asking whether the text itself is bigger, deeper, and more charged with mystery than we’ve allowed.

For a long time, the church has assumed that if people just receive the right teaching, real transformation will follow. But this conversation pushes back on that idea in a big way.

Michael Sullivant joins Brandon and Jen to explore what happens when brain science, attachment theory, and spiritual formation are brought into the same room. They unpack how the human brain was designed for belonging, why attachment is central to identity, and how emotional and relational maturity have too often been separated from spiritual maturity.

The conversation moves into the difference between left-brained information and right-brained formation, how trauma leaves unfinished stories in people, and why joy is not a side issue but a major part of becoming like Christ. Michael also shares practical rhythms that can help rewire the brain toward peace, gratitude, and deeper connection with God and community.

This one gets into discipleship, healing, joy, trauma, gratitude, group identity, healthy correction, and why the church may be overdue for a relational reformation.

What happens when too many eyewitness accounts start sounding alike to ignore?

In this episode, Marcus Ellis returns to the show to talk about the rise in Dogman reports, the work of the North American Dogman Project, and the kinds of encounters that leave people shaken for years. He explains why he sees Dogman as distinct from Sasquatch, what witnesses most often describe, and why these cases seem to carry a different kind of fear than most Bigfoot reports.
