  • “The last great untapped asset class in America is hiding in plain sight. There are thousands of folks just waiting to be seen, to have a chance, to be connected.” - Philip Gaskin, Vice President of Entrepreneurship at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

To celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Global Entrepreneurship Week, GEN has launched a podcast-mini-series featuring conversations with the dreamers, “doers” and risk-takers behind the global entrepreneurship movement.

In Episode #5, Philip Gaskin, Vice President of Entrepreneurship at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and podcast host Jonathan Ortmans discuss why women, Black Americans and people of color continue to be left behind in the so-called “land of opportunity”, what’s preventing the growth of entrepreneurship across different populations, and whether or not the country’s economy is on the verge of transformational, inclusive change.
