  • "The first thing I'll do is burn these ******* blue jerseys!" Fergie in 1990
    2026/09/15

Manchester United's 1990-92 away shirt is so iconic that when adidas won the contract to manufacture the club's kit again, they re-created it for sale to the modern audience. However, Alex Ferguson wasn't quite such a big fan of it. Thankfully we're releasing this podcast well after the release so nobody can be too upset about it, but you'll enjoy Ferguson's angry reaction to playing in it after United lost 4-0 at Anfield on September 16, 1990.

Sammy McIlroy joins Wayne Barton to discuss, and also share why he also dislikes another beloved United away strip.
