Differing from the usual practice, the Economic Survey will not be unveiled on January 31, the day before the introduction of Budget 2024. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the interim Union Budget 2024 on February 1, Thursday. Traditionally, a key element of Parliament's Budget session is the release of the Economic Survey on January 31. However, in a departure from this norm, the Economic Survey will not precede the announcement of the interim Budget by the Finance Minister this year. This deviation is attributed to the fact that the upcoming presentation is an interim budget rather than a complete budget by the government.
