  • Two Things Can Be True: Finding meaning without minimizing pain

Some spiritual teachings suggest we choose our lives before we arrive here. But if that's true, does that mean we're supposed to be okay with everything that happened to us?

In this episode, Jane and Keri explore the messy space between spiritual beliefs and human reality. They discuss soul contracts, difficult life lessons, toxic positivity, spiritual bypassing, grief, family wounds, and why finding meaning in an experience is not the same as approving of it.

Together, they unpack the idea that healing doesn't require us to rewrite our stories. We can acknowledge growth without excusing harm, hold compassion without denying pain, and recognize that two things can be true at the same time.

Because maybe we chose certain experiences. Maybe we didn't. But either way, abuse was still abuse, trauma was still trauma, and painful things were still painful.

  • Stop Waiting to Live

This week, we're talking about why so many of us keep putting off the things that make us feel alive. You know... "I'll go camping after I lose weight," "I'll read that book after I finish everything," or "I'll take a break when I finally have time."

    But who made those rules?

We dive into where those beliefs come from, why healing doesn't have to be serious all the time, and how maybe we've been treating joy like something we have to earn instead of something we're allowed to experience right now. Along the way, we share our own struggles, a few laughs, and challenge you to find one thing this week that you do simply because it brings you joy.

  • My Body Has Been Personally Offending People Since Birth (AKA: Society Would Like Me Apologize for Existing)
    2026/07/03

Most of us have been taught that our bodies determine our worth. Whether you've felt "too much," "not enough," too big, too small, too old, too sick, too scarred, or simply uncomfortable in your own skin, chances are you've experienced body shame in some form.

In this episode, we explore the complicated relationship we have with our bodies; from food and self-image to family messages, societal expectations, and the stories we quietly carry about who deserves love, respect, and belonging.

Through personal experiences, humor, and honest conversation, we ask bigger questions: What if our bodies were never the problem? What if we've spent our lives trying to fix something that was never broken? And what would it feel like to stop waiting for our bodies to change before allowing ourselves to fully live?

This isn't a conversation about diets, weight loss/gain, or body positivity. It's about self-compassion, curiosity, and reclaiming the relationship with the one home we'll live in for our entire lives. Because maybe the goal was never loving every inch of ourselves every single day. Maybe it's simply learning that we were always worthy of taking up space.

Jane’s 65 foot cliff jump is the coverart for this week.

  • Permission to Keep Living, Part II: Turns Out... You Survive
    2026/06/26

A quick note before we begin: Today's conversation includes grief, death, and loss. If you're in a tender place, we invite you to listen when and if it feels supportive. Please take care of yourself first.

In Part II of Permission to Keep Living, we continue one of the most personal conversations we've ever had.

This episode isn't about "moving on." It's about what happens after the casseroles stop coming, when the world keeps spinning, and you're left figuring out how to keep living.

We talk honestly about what grief actually looks like, the well-intentioned things that hurt, the unexpected acts of kindness that helped, why talking about the people we've lost matters, and how healing isn't about forgetting. It's about learning to carry love and loss at the same time.

We also explore the surprising role of expressive writing, why asking for help can feel impossible, and how even our deepest pain can become a source of compassion, purpose, and connection.

Whether you're grieving someone you love, supporting someone who is, or carrying a loss that still feels close, we hope this conversation reminds you that there is no "right" way to grieve, and that you don't have to do it alone.

Stay self-aware. Stay a little unhinged. And remember: you have permission to keep living.

Content Warning: This episode contains discussion of child loss, death, grief, suicidal thoughts, and trauma.

What if the reason you're stuck isn't because you don't know what to do, but because you're waiting for permission?

In this deeply personal episode, Keri shares the unimaginable grief of losing her daughter, mother, and aunt within weeks of each other while navigating young motherhood, college, and survival. Together, Jane and Keri explore what it means to keep going when life breaks you open, how healing rarely arrives all at once, and why curiosity can become a lifeline when hope feels out of reach.

This conversation dives into grief, resilience, gratitude, self-trust, and the unexpected ways life offers us doorways forward. It's an honest exploration of what happens when you're completely stuck, how small moments can become catalysts for healing, and why the path back to yourself often begins with one tiny step at a time.

If you've ever felt overwhelmed by loss, unsure how to move forward, or wondered whether there's something more waiting on the other side of your pain, this episode is for you.
