In Episode 2 of Under The Hood, host Dr Marcellus Baz BEM sits down with two people working to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing our communities today: mental health.

Joining Baz are:

• Mark Platt, Founder of The Men's Room and CEO of ICS Professional Services Ltd, and

• Dr Saima Masud, Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

In this episode, Mark speaks openly and honestly about his own mental health journey, sharing the struggles he faced behind closed doors, the impact it had on his life, and the strength it took to reach out for support.

Alongside Dr Masud's expert insight, this is a conversation about stigma, resilience, vulnerability and why talking about mental health can save lives.

In episode 3 of Under The Hood, Switch Up CEO, Dr Marcellus Baz BEM, sits down with Consultant Major Trauma and Emergency Surgeon, John-Joe Reilly from Nottingham University Hospital for a powerful and eye-opening conversation about the devastating impact of knife crime.

Having featured in the Channel 4 series 24 Hours in A&E, and drawing on years of experience treating victims of serious violence, John-Joe shares what it's really like on the front line, the lasting consequences of gang-related stabbings, and why prevention, early intervention and giving young people hope has never been more important.
