  • Uncovidable is what happens when a plucky woman is stopped mid-life and told to stay put for 21 days in a nationwide lockdown as a result of the Covid19 pandemic. Based on the wish-it-wasn’t true story of Vekeana Dhillon’s account, the sudden stop has her fictionalized version examining the situations and behaviours of those around her. Being locked down has her opening up her eyes to see a lot more than she ever noticed before.

    This humorous and relatable story unfolds through a series of unanswered voice messages she leaves on her best friend’s phone. As she doggedly pursues her evasive friend, she describes her sometimes outrageous but always genuine experiences of her life in limbo dodging Covid19, with her husband and brother - her lockdown cellmates.

    Day 1. Checking up on her girlfriend, Vekeana leaves a voice message for her. They’ve got much to catch up on since Maya’s return from at a silence-retreat. Vekeana explains she’s been isolating with her husband Puneet and brother Vikram for the two weeks prior. Then halfway through the first lockdown that promised to let ups—news came down it’s extended to 21 freakin’ days. Vekeana shares her reaction, plans and rush to get her priorities somewhat straight as the lockdown clamps down. This is one reality check she wished would just bounce.

It may not be the best use of her energy as she frantically considers symptoms after a food run out in this new world disorder. She endeavors to defy the negativity and go with it… for the most part. She can do this.
