• 064 Caring for Someone With Dementia: Compassion, Connection & Changing Roles
    2026/09/07

What happens when someone you love begins to forget—and your relationship with them begins to change?

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill shares her personal experience caring for her former mother-in-law as memory loss gradually affected her ability to drive, manage medications, protect herself financially and eventually live safely on her own.

But this conversation is about more than dementia caregiving. It's about learning to understand the world from your loved one's perspective.

When someone asks the same question for the fifth time, they may have no memory of asking the first four. When they tell the same story again, correcting them may accomplish little beyond reminding them that they've forgotten.

Jill explores how caregivers can respond differently—with patience, reassurance and compassion—while still recognizing when safety requires intervention.

You'll also hear practical ways to simplify communication, preserve dignity, maintain meaningful connection and begin difficult conversations about future care.

Because as someone's memory changes, your relationship with them may have to change too.

And even when their ability to hold onto your shared memories begins to fade, your ability to love them doesn't have to.

If someone you know is caring for a loved one experiencing dementia or memory loss, please share this episode with them.

  • 063 How to Redefine Success Without Sacrificing What Matters
    2026/08/31

True success is not simply measured by how much we accomplish—it is also reflected in the quality of our relationships, the peace we maintain, and the person we become along the way.

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill speaks with entrepreneur and podcast host Mike Collier about redefining success, finding fulfillment beyond achievement, and releasing the belief that we must carry everything alone.

Mike shares how his understanding of success evolved from pursuing bigger numbers and greater recognition to creating a life centered on faith, family, purpose, presence, and meaningful relationships. He also opens up about facing the possibility of bankruptcy, finding a way forward during an uncertain season, and learning to use the strengths and resources he already possessed.

Together, Jill and Mike explore the value of giving ourselves and others grace, turning mistakes into opportunities for growth, remaining grounded when circumstances are beyond our control, and choosing vulnerability and community over isolation.

This heartfelt conversation is a powerful reminder that your career and accomplishments can be meaningful parts of your life without becoming your entire identity. Asking for help does not make you weak, and accepting support does not make you less capable.

As you listen, consider this question: What are you carrying that you no longer need to carry alone?

  • 062 Hope vs. Faith: The Difference Between Wanting and Believing
    2026/08/24

What is the difference between hope and faith? Hope allows us to imagine that things could get better, while faith asks us to believe things can work out even when we don't have evidence of how.

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill explores why hope is valuable but faith can be even more powerful. She shares the simple language shift she often encourages—from “I hope this works out” to “I have faith that this will work out”—and why those two statements can feel so different.

Faith doesn't mean predicting the future or believing you'll always get exactly what you want. It can mean trusting that you'll find your way, that you can handle what comes next, and that possibilities may exist beyond what you can currently see.

You'll also discover why faith doesn't require the absence of fear or doubt, how our language influences the way we show up in life, and how hope itself can become the beginning of faith.

Hope opens us to possibility. Faith gives us the courage to move toward it.

If this episode resonates with you, share it with someone who may be holding onto a little hope of their own.

  • 061 Friendship & Spiritual Connection: Self-Help for Women on Love, Nature & Belonging
    2026/08/17

What if friendship extends far beyond our relationships with other people? In this episode of Self-Help for Women: Uncovering Your Inner Power, we explore friendship as a spiritual expression of love, connection, nature, and belonging.

It began with a simple moment: my cat sitting peacefully on my lap while I told him how grateful I was that he was my special friend. That moment made me curious about the deeper meaning of the word friend. Its roots lead back to the idea of “the loving one”—and that opened the door to a much bigger question.

What if friendship isn't defined by conversation, but by relationship?

Perhaps our friends aren't only the people who know and love us. Maybe friendship can also exist in our relationships with animals, trees, forests, birds, and the natural world. Maybe the peace we feel beside a stream or beneath an old tree isn't insignificant. Perhaps it reflects something we instinctively understand: we belong with one another.

In this contemplative episode, we explore spirituality, friendship, our connection with nature, Divine Consciousness, and the idea that love may sometimes be as simple as noticing, appreciating, and recognizing the life around us.

Maybe friendship isn't something we create.

Maybe friendship is something we recognize.

Listen and consider where “the loving ones” may already be showing up in your life.

  • 060 The Law of Attraction Isn't One-Size-Fits-All
    2026/08/16

Have you ever felt like everyone else has the secret to manifestation except you?

In this episode, I explore a question that came to me during a quiet moment of reflection: What if the Law of Attraction isn't one-size-fits-all?

Some teachings encourage us to visualize our dreams as though they've already happened. Others suggest that doing so can actually reduce motivation. Rather than debating which approach is right, I explore whether different practices simply work better for different people.

Together we'll look at the psychology of visualization, the importance of self-awareness, and why becoming the person you hope to be may matter more than trying to convince yourself you've already arrived.

If you've ever felt discouraged because a popular self-help technique didn't resonate with you, this episode offers a gentle reminder that your path doesn't have to look like anyone else's.

Your greatest guide has never been someone else's formula—it has always been your own inner wisdom.

  • 059 How to Trust the Path When Life Feels Uncertain
    2026/08/03

What if you didn’t need to see the entire path before taking your next step?

In this gentle and contemplative episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, Jill shares a powerful vision from a recent meditation: a golden pathway appearing beneath her feet, moment by moment. Along the way, she encountered extraordinary beauty, unexpected obstacles, and reminders to remain present and aware.

This reflection explores our chronic need for certainty and the false sense of control we create by trying to predict what lies ahead. Jill invites you to consider that perhaps the hidden parts of your path are not being withheld from you—they simply do not belong to this moment.

You don’t need tomorrow’s answers today. You don’t need strength for an obstacle you haven’t encountered. You only need to notice what has already been illuminated, appreciate the beauty beneath your feet, and trust yourself to meet each moment as it comes.

Follow Jill on Instagram and subscribe to her newsletter for more conversations about healing, personal growth, spirituality, and reconnecting with your inner wisdom. You’ll find the links in the show notes.

  • 058 Self-Help for Women: Finding Purpose After the Empty Nest
    2026/07/27

When you’ve spent most of your life nurturing others, what happens when they no longer need you in quite the same way?

The empty nest isn’t always a literal empty house. This identity shift can happen when children leave home, build families of their own, or begin turning to us less often. It can also follow a loss, retirement, the end of caregiving, or any transition that changes a role that once gave our lives direction.

In this episode, Jill shares how caregiving became part of her identity as a child and continued when she became a mother at seventeen. She explores why feeling less needed can be so disorienting—and why being necessary is not the same as being valuable.

You’ll hear practical, compassionate guidance for navigating mixed emotions, loosening the need to fix everything, rediscovering postponed interests, and finding purpose through curiosity and small, aligned choices.

You don’t have to reject the woman you’ve been. You can allow your identity to expand and begin asking: Who am I free to become now?

If this episode speaks to you, please follow the podcast and share it with another woman navigating an empty nest or a changing season of life.
