• 058 Self-Help for Women: Finding Purpose After the Empty Nest
    2026/07/27

When you’ve spent most of your life nurturing others, what happens when they no longer need you in quite the same way?

The empty nest isn’t always a literal empty house. This identity shift can happen when children leave home, build families of their own, or begin turning to us less often. It can also follow a loss, retirement, the end of caregiving, or any transition that changes a role that once gave our lives direction.

In this episode, Jill shares how caregiving became part of her identity as a child and continued when she became a mother at seventeen. She explores why feeling less needed can be so disorienting—and why being necessary is not the same as being valuable.

You’ll hear practical, compassionate guidance for navigating mixed emotions, loosening the need to fix everything, rediscovering postponed interests, and finding purpose through curiosity and small, aligned choices.

You don’t have to reject the woman you’ve been. You can allow your identity to expand and begin asking: Who am I free to become now?

If this episode speaks to you, please follow the podcast and share it with another woman navigating an empty nest or a changing season of life.

  • 056 Self-Help for Women: Trust Yourself, Let Go of Fear & Take the Next Step
    2026/07/13

Have you ever stayed in a situation longer than you knew you should because fear convinced you it was safer than change?

Whether it's a relationship, career, dream, or simply the next step in your personal growth, many of us wait for certainty before we allow ourselves to move forward. But what if certainty isn't the goal? What if life is asking us to trust ourselves enough to take the next honest step?

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, I share the lessons my own life has taught me about fear, faith, and learning to trust the quiet voice of inner wisdom. Together we'll explore why the ego resists change, how fear can keep us stuck in familiar situations, and why every decision—whether comfortable or challenging—can become an opportunity for growth.

We'll also explore the idea that there are rarely perfect decisions. Instead, life invites us to participate, to learn, to adapt, and, when needed, to choose again.

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed by uncertainty, or waiting for the "right" time to make an important change, I hope this conversation offers you the encouragement to trust yourself, embrace the unknown, and remember that life evolves through movement.

Thank you for being here and for allowing me to be part of your journey. If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to invite you to follow the podcast, subscribe to my newsletter for weekly inspiration, and connect with me on Instagram. The links are in the show notes.

  • 055 Menopause and the Wisdom Within: Finding Your Inner Power Through Change
    2026/07/06

Menopause is often talked about as something to endure—a season marked by hot flashes, sleepless nights, mood swings, brain fog, and a body that suddenly feels unfamiliar. But what if there's more to this transition than hormones alone?

In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, we're exploring the possibility that menopause is not only a biological transformation but also a spiritual one. Together, we'll reflect on how modern life, chronic stress, and the constant demands placed on women may shape our experience of menopause, while considering the deeper invitation this season may be offering.

I share my own journey through menopause, including my experience with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and how finding my footing again allowed me to step back and ask a different question: What if menopause isn't happening to us, but inviting us into a wiser, more authentic version of ourselves?

    We'll explore:

    • Why menopause may awaken deeper questions about identity and purpose
    • How modern living can disconnect us from our body's natural rhythms
    • The wisdom of slowing down, setting boundaries, and listening inward
    • The Crone archetype and the gifts of feminine wisdom
    • How this season of life can become a journey of self-discovery rather than something to fear

If you've been feeling like you've lost yourself during menopause, I hope this conversation reminds you that you are not broken. You may simply be entering one of the most meaningful and transformative chapters of your life.

    2026/06/29

The Law of Attraction encourages us to focus on what we want, but does that mean we should suppress difficult emotions? In this episode, Jill explores the Law of Attraction paradox and why emotional honesty is an essential part of healing—not the opposite of it.

Many people believe that expressing sadness, frustration, grief, or uncertainty means they're lowering their vibration. But is that really true?

  • 053 Letting Go of the Victim Mindset: Reclaiming Your Power and Rewriting Your Story
    2026/06/22

Have you ever found yourself replaying the same painful story over and over, wondering why you still feel stuck despite all the work you've done to heal?

In this episode of Self-Help for Women: Uncovering Your Inner Power, I revisit a topic from one of the earliest episodes of the podcast: letting go of the victim mindset.

To be clear, having a victim mindset is not the same thing as being a victim of painful circumstances. Many of us have experienced trauma, abandonment, betrayal, grief, loss, or heartbreak. Those experiences are real and deserve to be acknowledged.

But at some point in the healing journey, we are faced with a powerful question:

Am I carrying my pain, or is my pain carrying me?

Together, we'll explore how painful experiences can shape our lives without defining who we are. We'll discuss the stories we create around our wounds, why healing can feel uncomfortable, the difference between blame and responsibility, and how to begin collecting evidence for your strength instead of your suffering.

This episode also includes practical journaling prompts and mindset shifts to help you move from surviving your past to consciously creating your future.

Remember: Your past may explain you, but it does not get to define you.

If this episode resonates with you, please share it with someone who may need to hear it and follow the podcast so you never miss an episode.

  • 052 How to Start a Podcast for Women: Overcoming Fear and Finding Your Voice
    2026/06/15

What if the voice you've been holding back is the very thing someone else needs to hear? In this episode of Uncovering Your Inner Power, host Jill Ripley sits down with podcast coach Kim Parkinson of KP Creative Media for an inspiring and deeply practical conversation about using your voice as a vehicle for healing, connection, and growth.

Kim has worked with spiritual women entrepreneurs for years, helping them move through visibility fears and build podcasts that are both meaningful and sustainable. In this conversation, she and Jill explore the real obstacles that keep women from starting — from the pressure to be on video to the fear of running out of things to say — and why those fears don't have to stop you.

Together, they discuss how to discover your authentic voice, create episodes that leave listeners feeling seen and supported, avoid the burnout traps that derail so many podcasters, and blend strategy with spiritual intuition to grow a show that truly serves your audience. Kim also shares her honest take on what realistic podcast growth looks like, why consistency matters more than perfection, and what it means to step into your authority as a host.

Whether you've been dreaming of launching a podcast or you're already on the journey and looking for renewed inspiration, this conversation is your reminder that your message matters — and the world is waiting to hear it.

  • 051 How to find peace when life feels uncertain
    2026/06/08

How to Find Peace When Life Feels Uncertain

What do you do when life presents you with a situation you can't control?

Whether it's a financial concern, a relationship challenge, a health issue, or simply not knowing what comes next, uncertainty has a way of stirring up fear and anxiety. But what if uncertainty isn't the problem? What if our struggle comes from believing we need certainty in order to feel safe?

In this episode, Jill shares a recent personal experience that challenged her to practice what she teaches. After receiving unexpected news about a significant investment, she noticed something surprising: instead of spiraling into worry, she felt curious. That experience became the inspiration for a deeper conversation about fear, trust, empowerment, and the difference between being informed and being consumed.

You'll discover why certainty is often an illusion, how fear creates stories about the future that may never happen, and how to shift your focus back to what is actually within your control.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why our minds naturally seek certainty
    • How fear fills in the blanks when answers are unavailable
    • The difference between a victim mindset and an empowered mindset
    • Why trust is only tested when the outcome is unclear
    • A simple exercise to help you find peace during uncertain times
    • How to stay grounded when life doesn't go according to plan

If you've been carrying the weight of unanswered questions or worrying about the future, this episode will remind you that true inner power isn't found in controlling every outcome—it's found in trusting yourself through whatever comes next.
