US OPEN DAY 7: FRITZ FALLS, GAUFF MARCHES ON

Day 7 at the US Open brought heartbreak, comebacks and plenty of drama in New York. Taylor Fritz's tournament comes to an end after a stunning five-set comeback from Francisco Cerundolo, while Coco Gauff continues her run into the fourth round.

We break down the biggest results from Day 7, Madison Keys' dramatic collapse against Zheng Qinwen, Iga Swiatek's progress and the rising stars making their mark.

Then we look ahead to Day 8 and the start of the Round of 16 — including Tommy Paul vs Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev vs Frances Tiafoe and Aryna Sabalenka vs Taylor Townsend.

The second week is here, and the US Open is heating up.
