UCF men’s basketball is poised for a breakout season after a six-year March Madness drought, fueled by key transfers and a tough but thrilling Big 12 schedule. Coach Johnny Dawkins’ squad opens with a home showdown against Utah—where Themus Fulks hit the game-winner last year—then hits the road for Arizona and Arizona State, both still formidable despite roster changes. The gauntlet continues with back-to-back clashes against Baylor and Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse, followed by home games against Colorado and Iowa State. They’ll face former Knight Jamichael Stillwell at Texas Tech, then battle West Virginia twice, Houston (with a stacked freshman class), Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State (featuring Jordan Burks). February ends with a BYU road test before closing out the regular season with Kansas State, TCU, and a final showdown in Fort Worth. With no easy wins and plenty of marquee matchups, UCF’s future looks bright—and their time to prove themselves is now.
