Typology is a key to understanding God’s saving plan for mankind.

But most people wrongly assume that typology merely means finding Old Testament “types” in New Testament “antitypes.”

In this episode of The Road to Emmaus, Dr. Scott Hahn is joined again by Rob Corzine, the Vice President of Academic Programs at the St. Paul Center. Together they discuss the real definition and use of typology.

In their conversation, discover the relationship between typology and the four senses of Scripture discussed in the Catechism, how Old Testament authors made deliberate use of typology, and how the early Christians employed it to understand not just Scripture, but the Christian life.

Typology is at the heart of the St. Paul Center’s approach to understanding Scripture. This episode will reveal to you how this approach is rooted both in the Old and New Testaments.
