Join Roger Edwards @RogEdwardsTV and Pascal Fintoni @PascalFintoni_on_YouTube for another episode of their live companion show, where they answer your questions and share practical insights in just 30 minutes!

    In this episode:

    👌 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲

What is the Circle of Marketing Simplicity?

This special request from Pascal turned out to be an impromptu briefing from Roger, and a timely reminder about his 'Offer - Goal - Activity' model from his book 'Cats, Mats and Marketing Plans'.

    🗣️ 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿

I heard that as a speaker you need to have a signature talk, what is it and how do you create that signature talk?

This is the very question that a delegate asked Pascal at a recent conversation.

Roger and Pascal explore the meaning and definition of 'signature talk' and share their personal advice including whether you should be thinking in terms of 'signature segments'.

    🍿 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱

A look back at two ingenious marketing tactics used to “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”, the sequel that celebrated its 45 anniversary this year.

    1. The teaser trailer for "The Empire Strikes Back" was filled with nostalgia, featuring Harrison Ford's voiceover in the style of 1950s radio serials and TV shows that inspired George Lucas.

    2. The marketing team cleverly used rumours and misinformation in magazines to protect the film's biggest secret (you know which one!). They published an article in Starburst Magazine that mixed true plot points with false information, such as "Luke killing Han Solo" or "the Millennium Falcon getting zapped into a time warp."

    00:43:23 Marketing Tech and Apps

ROGER: It’s all about AI Marketing Strategy: Most AI tools have been built to churn out content quickly (tactics) rather than help you think and plan (strategy). Here’s two with a strategy focus.

    Miro (with AI Assist): https://miro.com/ai/

    StratApp: https://www.producthunt.com/products/stratapp

Out of the box, ChatGPT pushes you into tactics. But you can force it to stay strategic. For example: “Act as a marketing strategist. Help me define my target customer segments, brand positioning, and key goals before suggesting any tactics.”

PASCAL: It’s all about getting serious with AI for Marketing:

Google AI Studio https://aistudio.google.com/live use the Share Screen function and have in-depth conversations about your marketing plan, workflows and content strategies.

Prompt: Ideal Customer Profile – use this prompt to begin a detailed conversation about your ideal customer and create a series of profiles and avatars:

I need your help to write a detailed customer profile or persona. Acting as my expert marketing and sales consultant, can you please remind me how to structure a customer profile or persona for b2b/b2c?

    00:54:00 Film Marketing

    28 YEARS LATER (2025)

    Directed by: Danny Boyle

    Written by: Alex Garland

Cast: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes were cast to star,[36] with Jack O'Connell

Music by: Young Fathers, Scottish progressive hip hop group formed in Edinburgh in 2008.

Tagline: What will humanity become? Time didn't heal anything. In 28 days, it began. In 28 weeks, it spread. In 28 years, it evolved.

We discuss the rather basic but striking marketing campaign for the film and Pascal enthuses about the Premier Event he attended in Newcastle UK.
