This week’s Ladies Who Question is part 1 of a 2-part sit-down with Turi Ryder, a well-respected and very successful national talk show host, and one of my “sisters in broadcasting. Turi and I were on-air decades ago at a major Chicago talk radio station. Because I was on-air morning drive and Turi held down the evening shift, we didn’t get to see or hear each other on the air. Crazy, right? But, that’s the biz! We talked for hours. SOME of what we talked about made it into this week’s and next week’s podcast. The stories that are not quite ready for public consumption were edited out. Turi’s storied career as a talk show host is colorful enough for a book, so she wrote one! “She Said What?” is the title and pretty much speaks for itself.
