    2026/02/12

Our phones give us so much access to fun and entertainment until suddenly those things that brought us smiles start sucking the life out of us.

I remember so many times coming home from work and thinking that scrolling on social media would be a fun distraction after a day of working, only to find that being distracted didn't actually help me decompress like I thought it would. Often, all that time of social media actually made me feel more depressed, more anxious, or just more drained.

In today's episode, we will explore 3 ways that you can break the cycles of doomscrolling -- and, in ways that are fun and not legalistic. We may not always see how time on our phone affects our faith, but the little distractions and vises can get their grubby tentacles all over our ability to discern God's voice.

If you want to grow in trusting God, grow in daily prayer, and to build up a beautiful quiet time, this episode is for you. Let's tune out the world, and tune into the Holy Spirit.

  • Bonus | In a Spiritual Rut? This Unconventional Biblical Encouragement Will Shake Things Up!
    2026/01/20

Feeling like your spiritual growth is non-existent? Getting discouraged in your Bible reading plan?

Today, we've got a little something fun to shake things up a little... Bible Trivia!

Often, we can feel that we aren't learning quickly enough or we may even feel like we haven't grown at all. We may have our favorite Bible study tools at the ready, we may stick to our Bible reading plan, practice daily prayer, and even sit in silence trying to hear the Holy Spirit -- which are all wonderful things! But, when it starts to feel like a chore, that's when we gotta shake things up and get out of that religious mindset. Spiritual growth is a journey, not some destination we need to run to as fast as we can.

So, I pulled together two dear friends Kris and Bex (Rebecca) to play a game of Bible Trivia -- which one stimulation. We had to come up with the questions on our own from things that we had discovered on our own.

And, guess what? It was so much fun.

We highly encourage you to get a group of friends together to play your own version. It's a great way to see how you really do notice amazing details in Scripture (thank you, Holy Spirit working in us!) and it stirs up a desire to know more and grow in Biblical knowledge. A great way to shake things up if you're feeling in a rut!
