  • You Can't Share Your Dreams With Everyone (It Is What It Is)
    2026/10/18

Hiiii! On this quick episode, I discuss a recent conversation I had with my dad that led to me a realization about sharing my dreams with people. Some people are not capable of "holding" your dreams with care. Sometimes, as much as we wish this wasn't the case, we can't share our dreams with the people "closest" to us. Protect yourself, your heart and your dreams!!

  • A Love Letter to My Homegirls
    2026/10/11

A little love letter to my homegirls 💌In this episode, I talk about the ways my friends have shown me love, how my friendships are already giving me so much of the love I am looking for, and how much I have learned about love through them! Friendship is NOT always easy, and it takes effort, honesty, and a willingness to work through the hard stuff. But its soooooo worth it.Just a reminder that some of the greatest loves of our lives might already be here.

  • Your Mother Wound is Holding You Back
    2026/10/04

I love my mom, but I can also admit that being her daughter hurt me deeply.

In this episode of Trying in Public, I am talking about the complicated reality of loving a parent while also having to heal from parts of your childhood. I get into my mother wound, growing up too fast, the ways our parents’ pain can become our own, and what it looks like to stop organizing your life around our childhood trauma.

This is not about blaming my mom or reducing the relationship to it's hardest moments. It is about making room for two things to be true at once: I can understand her, love her, and have compassion for everything that she has been through, while still being honest about what it did to me and how I have had to heal from it.

At some point, understanding where it came from just is not enough. You have to decide what you are going to do with it.
