    Are we all guilty of breaking the 2nd of God's 10 Commandments? “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." Exodus 20:4-6 It's hard to argue otherwise. We create images and even MOTION pictures of things on this earth every day, and through social media it's only getting worse. Many may not realize they are creating idols, but what is the motivation of the heart when we post pictures of ourselves? What is happening to our hearts and minds when we watch worldly movies (motion pictures)? God wants us to be present in every moment, with whoever he brings before us, as anyone we pass on the street is our neighbor. Is our longing to cling to the past- memories of good times with family and friends lost, stripping us of our ability to be present today- and are we unconsciously creating idols that glorify someone or something other than God? Not many pastors or teachers will speak on this, but 1 John 2:27 says, "And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His TRUE and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught."     With the recent depiction of Michael Jackson in the biopic film of his life painting a rosy pictures, many of the voices that painted him another way are speaking out, as well as major movie reviewers trashing the film by and large, while audiences love it. So who was Michael Jackson? Was he a child abuser, or a child that was abused himself? Or both? How can we know for sure? Why did the world seemingly team up to destroy him for so called crimes against children, when right now there is such an overwhelming attempt to cover up crimes of the eilte against children that we're seeing via the Epstein filles. A few scriptures to consider for this discussion. “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4 “When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’” Matthew 10:14 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” – John 15:18 "If you were of the world, it would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:19 “For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared righteous. Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. So they show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them…” Romans 2:13-15 “Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.     The world is moving fast and furious, trying to pull our attention away from the only true source of peace. If you're stressing, focus your thoughts on HIM. If you can't because you're overwhelmed, call a brother or sister, a pastor- and have them pray for you. Allow your heart to be softened to a point of gratitude and perspective.
