  • She Vanished After Midnight. Then A Detective Spotted The Detail Everyone Missed | Mackenzie Lueck 🌙🦉
    2026/07/16

Mackenzie Lueck vanished after arriving home on a late-night flight to Salt Lake City. What began as a missing person case soon became a true story of careful detective work, as one investigator followed the smallest details and uncovered the truth piece by piece.

This episode is told in a more immersive form of true crime storytelling, with a focus on the investigation and the detective work that helped solve the case.

I’ve been working hard to improve this style of storytelling, so I’d genuinely love to know what you think. Does this more investigative, story-led format work for you?

*Based on a true story. Some scene-setting and emotional context may be lightly shaped for storytelling, while the key facts remain faithful to the case.

    2026/05/30

One summer morning in 2014, a 28-year-old German tourist walked into Varna Airport in Bulgaria. Moments later, he suddenly dropped his luggage, sprinted out of the terminal, climbed a fence, and vanished into the surrounding countryside.

What happened next became one of the most baffling missing-person cases in modern history.

In this episode of True Crime For Bedtime, we follow Lars's final known movements—from a holiday dispute and a mysterious head injury to his increasingly fearful behaviour in the days before he disappeared. Was he suffering from paranoia? Was he frightened of someone? Or did something far more sinister happen after he ran from the airport?

More than a decade later, the grainy airport footage remains the last confirmed sighting of Lars Mittank.
