  • Ep. 130 - Financial Sobriety: Fixing The Financial Wreckage Of The Past.
    2026/08/06

Welcome back to this week's episode of Trudge Report. Thank you for supporting the show.

We kick things off with some fantasy football drama that somehow becomes more competitive every year, baseball trade deadline reactions, and an upcoming Foo Fighters concert.

In the recovery segment we delve into financial sobriety, financial responsibility, and how we are fully self-supporting. Each of us talk about how poor we were making financial decisions prior to sobriety, in early sobriety, and even at multiple years sober. We had to learn what it meant to be responsible stewards of our money just as much as we had to learn the spiritual, physical, and emotional recovery process from drugs and alcohol.

  • Ep. 129 - Red Carpet Recovery: The Pros and Cons of Sobriety Under the Bright Lights.
    2026/07/30

Welcome back to this week's episode of Trudge Report. Thank you for supporting the show.

We kick things off with Dan catching us up on his 9-day camping trip with his kids, Greg giving us an update on wedding planning, and Corey doing what he does best, bitching and moaning while also imparting some wisdom on the group and the listeners.

In the recovery segment, we take a different approach by exploring some of the most well-known celebrities and famous people who have publicly shared their recovery journeys. From actors and musicians to professional athletes, we discuss the unique pressures that come with getting sober while living in the spotlight. We talk about anonymity, public expectations, relapse, using a platform responsibly, and the difference between genuine recovery and social media trends. The conversation also explores how fame can complicate accountability, why helping others remains at the heart of lasting sobriety, and the responsibility that comes with influencing millions of people. Recovery doesn't care about fame, money, or status. Whether you're a celebrity or someone quietly fighting for another day sober, the work is the same—and lasting freedom is built one day at a time.

  • Ep. 128 - We Don't Recover Alone: Why Mentorship is Vital to Personal Recovery.
    2026/07/23

Welcome back to another episode of Trudge Report. Thank you for supporting the show. This week Danny is off in the woods camping with his kids. Greg, Corey, and Shawn, go around the horn with some quick discussion about the Canadian wildfires and the trickle-down to Ohio and other parts of the Midwest and Northeast. We briefly touch on the Open Championship in golf and the World Cup final with Spain as emerging victorious and the riveting sport of Mail boat jumping. Greg and Corey talk about an upcoming Foo Fighters concert they are going to in Philadelphia. Then, the real discussion starts about different birthday cakes versus desserts and pies.

The recovery segment brings the topic of mentorship. We talk about it often but what is it, how does it work, and why is it so important? The three of us tackle this conversation and share valuable insight from our own experiences both early on in sobriety and in the later years. We discussed why it's important to always remain teachable and always be willing to learn new things and new ways of sharing the message. We talked about some of the pitfalls we have encountered but also discuss many of the high points. The bottom line is that the same sick mind that got to the rooms of recovery cannot heal itself. We need help. We need help from our Higher Powers and oftentimes that comes in the form of that Power working through humans.
