“Our Foundation of Hope” • Hebrews 6:11-20 – Elder Bryce Lowrance.

Our world today is clearly a tumultuous mess that can bring great fear to those who do not or cannot see beyond the present terror. However, the Apostle reminds us in this passage that the children of God can have different perspective on things. When we look to and run to Jesus for refuge, we find that the trials of this world are only temporary. Jesus has already anchored our destination in heaven. Those who do are not in danger of losing their eternal salvation but they will fill their lives with destruction and sorrow apart from the fellowship of God. Paul also warns that this condition can get so bad that, apart from Divine intervention, they cannot be convinced to repent and return to their Christian walk.
