The top leaders in meaningful and transformational travel tell the stories behind the journeys. Travel That Touches Your Soul explores global experiences that help people feel alive and connected with life. Hosted by Karen Cleveland in conversations with thoughtful travel leaders, guides, and change makers from around the world, each sharing profound moments they or their guests have experienced while inviting you in to share the experience. Conversations of Connection. Connection with animals. Connection with people and cultures. Connection with land. And ultimately, connection with ourselves. These are not surface level travel stories. They are conversations about why certain places call to us, how encounters with wildlife or unfamiliar cultures can soften us, strengthen us, or redirect our lives. Many guests lead meaningful journeys themselves. Others have been transformed by travel in ways they never expected. Karen brings a unique perspective as a safari host, spiritual teacher, and animal communicator. Her work centers on listening. To animals. To landscapes. To the quiet inner voice that often gets drowned out by daily life. This lens shapes every conversation and creates space for reflection rather than performance. Karen hopes you come away inspired to make that trip you've always dreamed of, and to let it be easy. We all deserve to fulfill our heart's desires and one of the goals of the podcast is to provide the resources you need to finally make it happen. These are more than sightseeing buses and tourist markets, so if you feel drawn to experiences that honor animals, cultures, and the land, if your soul is asking for something more meaningful than another itinerary, then this podcast is for you. Travel That Touches Your Soul is an invitation to listen more deeply. To travel more consciously. And to remember who you are when you feel most alive.Copyright 2026 Karen Cleveland スピリチュアリティ 旅行記・解説 社会科学

  • Tourism is Saving the Tigers: with Vishal Singh of Royal Expeditions
    2026/09/06
Twenty years ago, India's tigers were disappearing. Today they are roaring back — and one of the people who helped make that happen is here to tell you exactly how responsible travel became one of the tiger's greatest allies.Welcome to Travel That Touches Your Soul podcast and video channel, where I bring you the leaders around the world that help create meaningful travel and help you fulfill your heart's desires. I'm Karen Cleveland, and today's guest is Vishal Singh.Vishal is the managing director of Royal Expeditions and India director of TOFT — Travel Operators for Tigers — the organization behind the ethical certification program reshaping wildlife tourism across India. For more than 25 years, Vishal has worked as a conservationist, helping drive one of the greatest comeback stories in modern wildlife history. Under his watch, parks like Ranthambore have grown from 11 tigers to more than 85. He is also the creator of Bike for Tigers, a 180-kilometer charity cycle ride through the jungle corridor between two of central India's tiger reserves. This is a conversation about tigers, tigernomics, and why the future of wildlife depends on the communities living right beside it.Guest BioVishal Singh is the managing director of Royal Expeditions and India director of TOFT, Travel Operators for Tigers — Asia's premier tiger conservation organization. Raised on a tea plantation surrounded by forest, Vishal grew up watching habitat disappear and decided early that tourism, done right, was the most powerful tool available for saving wildlife. Over more than 25 years he has built ethical certification programs for eco lodges, launched forest guardian initiatives that put local people at the center of conservation, conducted landmark research showing that communities near tiger parks are four times better off economically than those without them, and helped oversee a tiger population recovery that has more than doubled numbers across India's national parks. He is also the founder of Bike for Tigers, a 180-kilometer charity ride through the jungle corridors of central India.Host BioKaren Cleveland is the creator and host of Travel That Touches Your Soul. She is a safari host, spiritual teacher, and animal communicator devoted to helping people reconnect with what matters most through meaningful travel. • Safari, Soul & Transformation: Wildlife Wisdom with Geovannah Tanzania Adventures
    2026/08/18
Title:Safari, Soul & Transformation: Wildlife Wisdom with Salvador Anney of Geovannah Tanzania AdventuresWhat if a safari could do more than take your breath away — what if it could wake your soul back up? Today's guest has guided over 2,000 safaris across Africa, summited Mount Kilimanjaro 86 times, and built a company rooted in the belief that Tanzania doesn't just change your itinerary. It changes your life.Salvador is the founder of Geovannah Tanzania Adventures — a safari and travel company that weaves together wildlife expertise, spiritual depth, and genuine community impact into every journey. Raised between Maasai and Datoga traditions, Salvador discovered his connection with animals long before he ever set foot in a university. He is a wildlife photographer, wilderness first responder, reflective theologist, and one of the most extraordinary guides working in Africa today. When his guests go home, they don't just have photos. They have a new relationship with life itself.Guest BioSalvador Anney is the founder of Geovannah Tanzania Adventures and one of Africa's most experienced safari guides, with over 2,000 safaris led across the continent and 86 successful summits of Mount Kilimanjaro. Born into a family bridging Maasai and Datoga heritage, Salvador grew up alongside animals — learning their languages, behaviors, and social structures long before his formal studies in wildlife ecology at university, which included a year of field research in the Serengeti. He is a wildlife photographer, wilderness first responder, and reflective theologist whose deep spiritual grounding shapes every experience he creates. Beyond the safari, Salvador has built Geovannah into a force for lasting change through the Geovannah Foundation, which supports children's education and health in rural Tanzania, and an ongoing initiative delivering oxygen concentrators to remote communities. His Tripadvisor reviews are 100% five stars — and his guests consistently say the same thing: they left changed.Host BioKaren Cleveland is the creator and host of Travel That Touches Your Soul. • From the Mat to the World: Soul Nourishing Adventure Travel with The Travel Yogi
    2026/03/17
What if your next trip left you feeling more energized than when you left home — nourished instead of depleted, present instead of checked out? That's not a fantasy. That's exactly what today's guest designs for travelers all over the world.Kilty is a yoga educator from Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi who traded a career in civil and environmental engineering for a life on the mat — and eventually, a life on the road. She now works with The Travel Yogi, the original yoga adventure travel company, helping design and lead immersive small-group journeys that weave together movement, culture, nature, and meaningful human connection. Whether she's guiding a group through Sri Lanka, Iceland, or the remote glaciers of Greenland, Kilty's approach is the same: the adventure comes first, and the yoga holds it all together.Guest BioKilty Inafuku is a yoga educator from Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi who believes that what happens on the mat is practice for how we show up in everyday life. She studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCLA before leaving the engineering world to pursue yoga as a career and lifestyle, training with Jay Co and Jason Crandell. Kilty teaches vinyasa-based yoga and works with The Travel Yogi, helping scout new destinations, build itineraries, and lead transformational small-group travel experiences around the world. In 2025 she added Greenland to her growing list of extraordinary destinations — and calls it one of the most profound places she's ever been.Host BioKaren Cleveland is the creator and host of Travel That Touches Your Soul.
