In this emotional and unforgettable episode of Trauma Behind the Glamor, we sit down with Daniel Chacon, a man whose life changed in an instant. Daniel came to the United States and to New York City searching for opportunity, but life was far from easy. He worked hard, pushed through struggle, and tried to build a new beginning.

Then everything shifted. Just before the pandemic, on his way to a game, Daniel was struck by a car while walking on the sidewalk. He woke up in the hospital and learned he had lost his leg. His recovery was long, painful, and filled with moments where he had no one. But strangers stepped up. People he never met before became the support he needed when he had no family here.

Daniel refused to give up. In 2024 he launched his own podcast and wrote his book Volviendo a Casa. His story proves to the world that nothing can hold you back when your spirit is stronger than your circumstances. He speaks openly about the challenges, the loneliness, the fear, and the strength it took to rebuild his life from the ground up.

This episode is raw, inspiring, and a reminder that even when life hits you without warning, you can rise again. Daniel is living proof that purpose can be born from pain and that resilience can carry you through the darkest moments.

This powerful episode of Your Trauma Talks, hosted by Rahul K. Maharaj, known worldwide as Mr. Trauma Talks, in collaboration with Trauma Behind the Glamour, brings forward one of the most raw and unfiltered conversations ever recorded on the platform. Chris Leon Johnson sits down with Rah to speak openly about the controversy surrounding his recent comments about Mayor Mamdani. Chris shares his personal perspective on what he feels is happening in the city, why he believes certain promises were not fulfilled, and why he views the mayor as more active on social media than present in the communities that need support. These are his words, his experiences, and his truth, shared in a safe space created by Rah.

Chris opens up about growing up as a special needs youth, surviving bullying, and navigating a system that often left him behind. He talks about coming to New York City at fifteen, living through twenty years of change, and what he hopes to see for the future of the city he calls home. He reflects on his journey as a journalist and speaks honestly about mistakes he made in 2024, taking accountability and asking for forgiveness for choices he is no longer proud of.

Rah guides the conversation with empathy, understanding, and the ability to put himself in another person’s shoes, allowing Chris to speak without fear, without judgment, and without filters. This is not politics. This is a human being telling his story. This is healing, reflection, and redemption happening in real time.

This episode is emotional, powerful, and unforgettable. It is the kind of conversation that spreads because it is real and because Rah creates a space where truth can finally breathe.
