It's the horrifying conclusion of our childhood memories arc! Beyond Sean and Digimon and Phil and HiMEs lies the biggest nightmare of them all though, a Mike choice! And after years of dangling it over our heads, he's finally making us read his beloved Gantz. Will this despair fueled death game for the already dead be the one that wins us over?

From one Leomon to another, as we begin our childhood series arc! Mike's not the only one who had one of those "being a kid" phases, so this time Sean's bringing his beloved Digimon Adventure to the show. Did the manhua version live up to the iconic anime from our youth though?

We could really use some healing after last episode's nightmare, so along comes the medic fantasy manga The Beast King: Master of Medicines! And good news, it's better than the last series we did about a healer. But will this story of demon and human working together to cure monsters and save the world be the tonic we so desperately need?

Who let the dogs out? No, really, who, they didn't deserve this. This time around we read My Life as Inukai-san's Dog, a lovely innocent manga about a poor boy waking up one day as a dog and being adopted by his crush and everything is wholesome and nothing yabai happens. Nothing. Yabai. Happens.

...

We're so sorry.

Every year we head to China for a series, and results have been... mixed... So how will this year's entrant fare, as we read My Mobster Girlfriend, a harem romcom as a bunch of female mafiosos in training squabble over our lead guy from a former family dropped into their school life. And on a scale of Heaven Official's Blessing to So Pure, So Flirtatious, where will this one rank?

Is it already time for the first anime tie-in of Year 7? Well, it's also our first fantasy series of the year, so that tracks. We discuss The Level 999 Villager ahead of its anime release, where one villager has min-maxed harder than anyone else to bring peace to humans and demons. With such an original premise, this one must be good, right?

Okay, so last time may have been a false start, but for our second Year 7 episode, we've gone to Shounen Jump, and read one of their esteemed comedy series, Beelzebub! Will this story about some poor thug tasked with raising the spawn of Satan himself get a laugh out of us, or is manga comedy truly dead?
