The Compas caught up with Chargers safety Tony Jefferson, a former classmate of Fernando’s, to talk about his journey back to the NFL and what it means to play for his hometown team.
Jefferson shares why he’s excited about his third season with the Bolts and the impact OC Mike McDaniel and DC Chris O’Leary can have on the team. He also takes us through his incredible journey from working as a scout for the Baltimore Ravens to returning to the field and continuing his NFL career with the Chargers.
Growing up in San Diego, Jefferson explains why wearing a Chargers jersey means even more to him, especially after idolizing Junior Seau as a kid.
Plus, Jefferson opens up about the mental and physical challenges of getting his body ready to return to the NFL and answers the question: Is Tony Jefferson the tone setter for the Chargers?
