Tony Alamo How To Have God's Life Living In You Part 156: Shield of Faith, Difficulty Mountains, and Ghana Letters Tony Alamo devotes program 258, part 156 of his teaching series, to the shield of faith, reads his decades-old vision of a mountain climb with his late wife Susie, shares conversion letters from Ghana, and hears salvation testimonies from Leah Swetten and his wife Sharon Alamo. Opening Prayer and Shield of Faith Teaching Tony Alamo opens the broadcast identifying it as program number 258, part 156 of his ongoing series How to Have God's Life Living in You, and tells listeners a free tape or CD copy is available for the asking. He leads an opening prayer built around the shield of faith, explaining that faith and prayer are the same shield, since it is God who quenches, in his words, all the fiery darts aimed at believers. The Difficulty Mountains Vision Jeannie Alamo then reads a lengthy piece of Alamo's own literature called Difficulty Mountains, describing a vision he says came shortly after marrying his late wife Susie. In it he climbs a steep mountain with unusual strength while Susie struggles behind him, and the scene shifts from color to black and white, just as it did in an earlier vision foretelling their marriage and shared ministry, as a hellish storm descends. He connects the vision to their actual wedding at Red Rock Baptist Church in Las Vegas, where a storm struck before the ceremony, and recalls that singer Hank Snow, a stranger to him at the time, stood as best man, a detail Alamo corrects on air from Las Vegas to Nashville as their later meeting place. The reading interprets the storm as decades of persecution against the ministry orchestrated, in Alamo's telling, through Rome, the media, and world government, a claim offered as his own understanding of prophecy rather than settled fact, and closes urging listeners to endure to the end. Testimonies From Leah Swetten and Sharon Alamo A woman who identifies herself as Leah Swetten steps up first, saying she was saved more than sixteen years earlier after years as an alcoholic and drug addict in Reno, Nevada, feeling hopeless despite sensing a calling on her life. She says a piece of the ministry's gospel literature reached her, that she prayed the salvation prayer printed in it, and that she was invited to join and serve the ministry, where she remains today. Tony Alamo then introduces his wife, Sharon Alamo, noting she shares his Romanian Jewish heritage and was bat mitzvahed.
