  • Hue City Grunts: THE BATTLE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING Episode #3, Audio Podcast
    2025/09/12

It's the second day of the Battle for Hue and it's quickly becoming clear to many of the Marines on the ground that this fight is different than what they experienced prior to this. They've lost dozens of Marines and Navy corpsmen who've been killed or wounded in the fight, they are clearly out numbered, they haven't been trained for urban environments, the rules of engagement in the battle are different than anything they've seen before, they continue being sent out on missions that are deadly and appear to be impossible, and the officers know that their command does not understand the situation on the ground in Hue.

The Battle That Changed Everything is our special series on the Battle for Hue in the Vietnam War. This is chapter 3 of our story.

This series is part of our podcast Tomorrow Town, Tennessee. This podcast is a production of NewsChannel 9, Fox Chattanooga, and Sinclair Broadcast Group Chattanooga.
