This message was truly an assignment from God.
On Friday night, I was invited to attend a funeral not as a preacher, but simply as a friend to support a grieving family. I had no expectation of ministering that weekend.
The next morning, however, everything changed.
As I woke up on Saturday, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me to prepare a message. I remember questioning it: Why? I wasn't scheduled to preach. I was only going to be there to offer my support. Even though I didn't understand, I chose to obey His voice.
God faithfully gave me a message.
Then, just five minutes before I arrived at the funeral, I received a phone call from my friend. The pastor who was supposed to lead the service hadn't shown up, and they asked if I could step in and conduct the entire service.
In that moment, I realized why God had spoken to me that morning. What seemed unexpected to me was never unexpected to Him.
This message is a reminder that when God tells you to prepare, it's because He already knows what's ahead. Our responsibility is simply to obey.
