With the 2028 Summer Olympics just two years away, Timmy doesn’t think LA is ready: The Olympic Committee wants an exclusive roadway network that could turn Sunset Boulevard into a permit-only zone for weeks, giving athletes, coaches, and officials the streets while locals risk $300 fines. Timmy even flashes back to driving a limo during the 1984 Olympics. The hour closes on a serious Orange County story — Laguna Beach is set to lose its only emergency room after officials cite a $350 million seismic retrofit, and Timmy warns that closing that ER will cost lives unless the community fights to keep it open.

Hour 2 (9.02) Author Laurel Woods joins Timmy in studio to talk about her true-crime memoir "Strip Club Heiress," out tomorrow, with a book signing at Book Soup in West Hollywood. Woods recounts her Westlake Village upbringing: A CHP dad forced into early retirement after a 1970s motorcycle accident, a stint flipping cars on Sunset Boulevard, then buying The Jet Strip in 1977 — putting Laurel on the motorcycle, she says, but never on the pole.

Life changed when he was convicted in 2000 of murdering his strip-club business partner, spent 17 years in prison, and even landed on "America’s Most Wanted," leaving Laurel to spend birthdays, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas in prison visitor centers.

The hour also hits a wild local animal story — aggressive otters attacking people in Lake Tahoe — plus a huge week in LA sports: The Los Angeles Clippers facing a $30 million fine and owner Steve Ballmer’s one-year suspension over an alleged Kawhi Leonard salary-cap violation, while billionaire Stan Kroenke has purchased the LA Angels.

Hour 3 (9.02) Matt “Money” Smith of "Petros & Money" calls in to unpack the LA Clippers controversy, including the big question: Did the Clippers try to cheat their way to a title?

The hour also covers Apple’s changing of the guard after 15 years of Tim Cook, with 25-year Apple veteran and former hardware engineering chief John Ternus taking over as CEO of the $4.7 trillion company.
