The Life Chat: Turning 50, Big Birthday Highs, and the Soluna Concierge Relaunch

We’re back around the table for another Life Chat — catching up after being ridiculously busy, talking about turning 50, big birthday celebrations, getting older and that slightly confronting feeling of being halfway through life. But hey, getting older is a privilege, right?

We chat about the highs (and the comedown) of turning 50, including Bali, Japanese food at Hibiki Yakiniku, drinks at Bar Bar, a Michael Jackson night at the Rhino Room and meeting the very memorable Jake Callisto. Then there’s Lauren’s disco-themed 50th, complete with a winery day and a pretty epic afterparty.

Cassie is also back with the relaunch of Soluna, her personal concierge service for all those jobs, errands and life admin that you either don’t have time for, don’t want to do, or simply need a hand getting organised. We talk about everything from decluttering and moving to event planning, outsourcing, workspace wins and why sometimes you just need to ask for help.

Then there’s a little skincare chat, some naturopathy, OmMade, the health benefits of eating carrots, plus a wander into the world of small business, alternative therapies and the people and businesses we’ve been discovering lately.

We also get into EcoPlay Farm, Kenny and play therapy, and the very cute Guinea Pig Hotel, before dreaming about our wellness getaway in November to Trentham and Daylesford involving mineral & forest bathing, tai chi, clean food, no booze and time to reset.
